**Introduction**
Rewarded videos are a type of incentivised advertising that rewards players for watching a promotional video.

1. Rewarded Videos Settings
The **Rewarded Videos Settings** section provides a comprehensive set of configurations to optimize the use and management of rewarded video ads. These settings allow you to control various aspects of rewarded videos, from limiting how many videos a user can view, to setting up bidding floors and ad placements.
### 1.1 Placement Bank
The **Placement Bank** is a collection that stores a list of rewarded video placements. It allows you to manage and organise multiple rewarded video ad placements in one centralised location.

1. Navigate to **Ads \> Configuration \> Rewarded Videos** , and enable the **Placement Bank** field by clicking on the  **[green + sign].**
2. Click the empty text box or the down arrow on the right to open the dropdown menu.
3. Choose the appropriate placement bank for your configuration.
4. If the desired placement bank is not listed, you can add a new one by following the instructions listed in the [Rewarded Video Placements & Rewarded Video Placement Banks](https://tripledotstudios.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/pages/edit-v2/3705405454?draftShareId=5d3a47fe-fa1d-47e5-8c66-1807189ea81d#Rewarded-Video-Placements-%26-Rewarded-Video-Placement-Banks) section below.
### 1.2 Overall Rewarded Video Limit
The **Overall Rewarded Video Limit** setting allows you to specify the maximum number of rewarded video ads a user can view within a given session or time frame.

1. Enable the **Overall Rewarded Video Limit** field by clicking on the  **[green + sign].**
2. In the field, enter the desired maximum number of rewarded videos a player can view.
### 1.3 Overall Rewarded Video Limit Reset Time
The **Overall Rewarded Video Reset Time** defines the interval, in hours, after which the count of rewarded videos a player can watch is reset.
The reset occurs based on the number of hours specified in this field, starting from midnight according to the device’s local time.

1. Enable the **Overall Rewarded Video Limit Reset** field by clicking on the  **[green + sign].**
2. In the field, enter the desired number of hours post midnight of the player's device time to reset the rewarded video limit.
### **1.4 Enable interstitial instead of rewarded video**
This setting allows you to enable interstitial ads in place of rewarded videos.
When this checkbox is selected, interstitial ads will be displayed to players instead of the usual rewarded video ads.

1. Enable the **Enable interstitial instead of rewarded video** field by clicking on the  **[green + sign].**
2. Select the checkbox to display interstitial ads instead of rewarded videos.
3. Leave the checkbox unselected to display the rewarded videos.
### 1.5 Google Postbid IDs
The **Google Postbid IDs** setting allows you to optimise post-bidding ad requests.
The Postbid IDs for Android and iOS identify your app within Google's post bidding system.

| **Google Postbid Android ID** | Enter the **Postbid ID** specific to **Google Ads** for the Android platform. This ID helps configure and identify the Android app in Google's post bidding process. | Post bidding typically refers to bidding for an ad placement after an initial bid request. |
| **Google Postbid iOS ID** | Enter the **Postbid ID** specific to **Google Ads** for the iOS platform. Like the Android ID, this iOS ID configures and identifies the iOS app in Google's post-bidding process. | |
1. Enable the **Google Postbid IDs** field by clicking on the  **[green + sign].**
2. Fill in the fields following the information listed in the table above.
### 1.6 Consecutive Google Ads Limit
This setting implements a counter to track the number of consecutive Google ads displayed.
By specifying this count, you can effectively manage when to halt requests to the Google Direct auction and instead display the MAX ad currently available in the cache.

1. Enable the **Consecutive** **Google Ads Limit** field by clicking on the  **[green + sign].**
2. In the field, specify the number of consecutive Google ads to be displayed.
### **1.7 Google Postbid Requests Limit counter**
The **Google Postbid Requests Limit Counter** sets a configurable maximum number of requests before an ad is shown.

1. Enable the **Google Postbid Requests Limit Counter** field by clicking on the  **[green + sign].**
2. In the field, specify the maximum number of requests to be sent to Google Postbid before an ad is shown.

2. Rewarded Video Placements & Rewarded Video Placement Banks
Game Server allows creating placements that help you identify all the keys used for unique rewarded video placements in different game features, along with banks of rewarded video placements.
### **2.1 Creating a new Rewarded Video Placement**
1. To create a new Rewarded Video Placement, click the green **[New]** button on the upper right side of the screen.
2. Assign a name and a unique key to it.
3. Under Placement Type, select one of the available options:
4. Click **[Save]** when you’re done.
### **2.2 Creating a new Rewarded Video Placement Bank **
Once you’ve created your Rewarded Video Placements, it’s time to put them together into a Bank. The goal of the bank is to put all the placements together and assign a probability to each of them appearing when the player reaches the placement.
1. To create a new Rewarded Video Placement Bank, click the green **[New]** button on the upper right side of the screen.
2. Assign a name to your placement.
3. Under Placements, select a placement and click **[Add Placement].** The new placements will appear below. Under Parameters, you can see the attributes in every placement.
4. Click**[Save]** to finish the configuration of the Placement Bank
If you delete a placement, you can undo it by using the the **Undo button** 🔄
## 3. Rewarded Video Placements Sub-types
Rewarded Video placement sub-types let you define reusable placement types with custom attributes.
### 3.1 Create a new RV placement sub-type
1. Open the Game Server UI.
2. From the left menu, expand Ads.
3. Click RV Placement sub-types.
4. On the RV Placement sub-types index page, click **[+New]**.
5. In the New form, fill these fields:
6. Review values carefully (changing a Key later may impact placements).
7. Click Save.
8. Confirm creation. The new sub-type appears in the index list with an ID and timestamp.

### 3.2 How to check if a sub-type is used by placements
1. On the index, look at the In use column.
2. If any placements are listed, update them before editing or deleting the sub-type.

### 3.3 Edit a sub-type
1. From the index page, locate the sub-type and click Edit (under Actions).
2. Update one or more of the three fields: Name, Labels, Key.
3. Click Save.
4. Verify the Updated at (UTC) timestamp changes.

### 3.4 Delete a sub-type
1. On the index page, find the sub-type and click Delete.
2. A confirmation dialog appears.
3. If the sub-type is In use, deletion will be blocked (system will prevent deletion).
4. If allowed, confirm deletion to permanently remove the sub-type.
### 3.5 Using Sub-types in a Rewarded Video Placement
Once sub-types are created, they can be applied when configuring new Rewarded Video Placements:
1. Navigate to Ads: Rewarded Video Placements.
2. Click **[+New]** to create a new placement.
3. Fill in the required fields:
4. (Optional) Add any extra JSON configuration in the Anything you like JSON field if needed.
5. Click Save to finalise the placement.
