Configuring Parameter Sets
A Parameter Set is a collection of predefined parameters that define how specific event occurrences should behave. In the context of recurring events, parameter sets are used to ensure that each occurrence in the event cycle has the correct settings for a smooth and predictable experience. These sets consist of multiple positions, where each position holds a specific configuration of parameters that will be served in the nth occurrence where each occurrence can have its own distinct parameter values.
Perform the following steps to create parameter sets:
Navigate to the Events menu on the left-hand side.
Select the menu item called Parameter Set.
Click [+ Create New Parameter Set].
Enter a unique name for the parameter set in the Name field.
Use the dropdown labeled "Behaviour for remaining occurrences" to define what happens after the last position:
Select an Event Type from the dropdown menu.
Next you need to add positions:
Editing Positions
To delete a position, click the Delete button next to the position.
To copy a position:
Expanding and Collapsing Positions
- Each position is collapsible and expandable , similar to levels in the journey level banks in the Game Server.
Validation Rules When Saving Parameter Sets
Ensure the parameter set has at least 2 positions. Saving is blocked for parameter sets with fewer than 2 positions.
The system validates each position's parameter values based on the data types defined for the parameters.
If validation fails, errors will be displayed for the relevant fields.
Cloning Parameter Sets
On the Parameter Set List View , locate the parameter set to clone.
Click the Duplicate button.
Provide a new unique name for the cloned parameter set in the pop-up form.
Click Save to create the duplicate.
