Activity Sets

Activity Sets allow you to define a structured list of activities for different occurrences of an event. With Activity Sets, you can create and manage reusable configurations tailored to specific event types. This helps in simplifying the process of setting up recurring events with varying activity requirements.

Using Activity Sets, you can:

  • Add multiple positions to represent occurrences of an event.

  • Define activities for each position, specifying their duration , cooldowns , and configurations.

  • Customise activities with segments to cater to different player groups or event goals.

  • Adjust behaviour for how positions are applied across event occurrences, either by rotating positions or repeating the last position.

Perform the following steps to create activity sets:

  1. Open Hawk and go to the Events menu in the left-hand navigation panel.

  2. Select the new submenu item called Activity Sets.

  3. Click on the + Create Activity Set button at the top-right corner of the page.

  4. Enter a Name for the activity set (this must be unique).

  5. Use the dropdown labeled "Behaviour for remaining occurrences" to define what happens after the last position:

  6. Select an Event Type from the dropdown menu.

  7. Click + Add Position to add a position to the activity set.

  8. Positions are listed in order, starting from Position 1, and are numbered from top to bottom.

  9. Repeat this step to add additional positions (at least two positions are required to save the activity set).

  10. Within each position, click + Add Activity to add activities.

  11. Configure the activity details:

  12. Ensure that every position has at least one activity before saving the set.

  13. Configure Segments for Activities:
Within an activity, click + Segment to add segments.

  14. For each segment:

  15. If needed, delete segments using the trash icon.

  16. For each position, the system displays:

Edit, Clone, or Delete Positions

  1. Edit Positions : Expand or collapse each position by clicking on its header.

  2. Delete Positions : Click the trash icon next to a position to delete it. The position numbers for the remaining positions will automatically update.

  3. Clone Positions : Click the copy icon next to a position to duplicate it. The cloned position will appear at the bottom of the list.

Save and Validate the Activity Set

Ensure the activity set meets all validation rules:

  1. At least two positions are required.

  2. Click Save to finalise the activity set.

Manage Existing Activity Sets

  1. On the Activity Sets list view, you’ll see the following fields for each activity set:

  2. From this list, you can:

Change Event Type (Optional)

  1. If you need to change the Event Type for an activity set, select a new event type from the dropdown.

  2. A confirmation popup will appear: “Are you sure you want to change the event type? All positions created in this parameter set will be cleared.”

  3. If confirmed, all existing positions will be cleared, and you can add new positions for the selected event type.
